Clearly a misunderstanding...

Dear Weather Gods,

When I had a chat with you the other day,
I thought it was quite clear what I wanted to say...

In fact, I think I may even have shouted from the roof tops: "Bring on SPRING!"

And I most certainly did NOT say: "Snow is king!!!"

SO, dear Weather Gods...
if you agree to quickly rectify this white and fluffy mistake,
I would even offer to bake you a melt-in-the-mouth chocolate cake!
But if you continue to ruin my spring-blossomed mood,
I would find you incredibly and unforgivably rude...

Anyway, I shall carry on protesting in my own special way,
and with spring flowers make an in-your-face indoor display!
Surely you can see its colourful appeal...?
So, what do you say, do we have a deal?

***

Thank you so much for all your kind get well wishes.
Slowly but surely I am getting back on my feet, so your words must have helped!

Wishing you all a lovely week, and stay warm out there!
Helena

Ps. Those of you who are readers of the UK interior magazine Good Homes, may have recognised one of  my photos of Hannah Turner's ceramics on page 18 in the February issue. I am happy that Hannah is getting more attention drawn to her lovely owls!

  3. Those weather gods, my dear, you know
They must have thought you said, 'More snow'
For plenty of the white stuff falls -
They seem to have misheard your calls
But soon -soon - Spring will be here
Inside - and outside - and filling us with cheer.

    Keep getting better X

    Charlotte

  12. Do you think if we all got together and shouted at the same time it might make a difference, was that a 'no' I heard? you are probably right. It is snowing again as I write, bah humbug. xxx

  13. Germany is covered with snow, but while my parents (living in the western part, 200 km away from us) have so much snow that they have to clean the street three times a day we (in the south-western part) have only two centimetres. But we had ice-rain last sunday and so the buses couldn´t drive on Monday. My daughter was happy - no school! I was also waiting for spring (because I wanted to have sunny days and colourful flowers around me - trying not to get depressive in these dark days) but now I think it´s okay the way it is because it is still January - spring starts in March ;-))

  14. Hihi, the weathergods do unfortunately not listen to our pleas. But, spring must be close: Heligans Lost garden twittered some days ago to have seen the first daffodil in their gardens. So let's hope it won't last long.
Have fun... maybe with a little snowball fight.

  16. You do know there is no weather gods, there is just one God and he is the Living God and He loves you so much, he came to us, Jesus and died for our sins, so now we have the free gift of salvation to all and everyone who believes. If you have a Bible read the book of John. Praying you will know how much He loves you. Laurie'

  17. I´m just wondering about those people who can´t look at your blog "just as a blog" - taking everything so seriously. One get´s angry because you "missuse" a symbol, the other one writes a comment about your formulation about the "weather-gods". What´s about tolerance? Don´t let them discourage you - we are so many women and men loving your blog, having joy and feeling good by reading about your little adventures. Stay as you are - we like you and your style!

  19. Well, I wonder if I should dare to have a fling with the snow king? Kanske han smälter då? ;))

    kramar Sanna
