Beautiful Biddestone... Part I
Yesterday afternoon, my oldest son went to a birthday party in one of our neighbouring villages, beautiful Biddestone. Meanwhile, his younger brother and I took a stroll around this gorgeous little English gem... Aaah, this neighbour is easy to love!
I always feel a little uncomfortable taking photos of other people's houses, but I hope the owners don't mind my admiring their beautiful homes through my lens... Something tells me I am probably not the first one (nor the last) to go a little snap-crazy in this village either.

Ps. If you feel these images are too large for your computer screen to comfortably fit them in, don't forget you can always zoom out a little (I find 83% is usually a good size).

Beautiful photos, Helena - the village looks lovely. We used to live in a lovely old Grade 11 Listed half-timbered house and people often used to take photos - I never minded - I was rather proud! Pouring with rain here!! Abby x

This is just how I imaging England and it's come straight from television (thank you BBC) cause never bee there (someday I will). But now I can say there is just how I thought it would be. I really really love those old houses, I don't care if they are cold and moist they are my dream houses.

Sagolikt vackert Helena! Du bor då alldeles fantastiskt till med såna underbara miljöer runt knuten :-)) Så charmigt med krukorna som står på fönsterbrädan och de stora klippredskapen lutade mot väggen. Lavendelhäcken på muren...... ohhhh..... jag får habegär så det står härliga till. DET är en dröm. Håller faktiskt på att fundera över om jag kan få till något sånt. Hrmm.... Förstår precis vad du menar att det ibland känns lite 'sådär' när man fotar :-) Att man liksom tränger sig på.....
ReplyDeleteHär har släpats bräder hela dagen. Äntligen är 'bra-att-ha-brädhögen' borta. Sköööönt..... Dygnet har dock alldeles för få timmar. Hinner inte riktigt med mig.

Hejsan Helena, kan instämma i dina beundrande ord om engelska hus och trakter eftersom jag har turen att få besöka England ett par gånger om året pga av att makens dotter bor i London och vi försöker alltid göra en tur bortom storstan och hitta, för oss, nya ställen att besöka. Och visst är det svårt att avstå från att ta bilder på dessa vackra hus som du hittar i din närhet, jag tror nog ägaren uppskattar att andra också fascineras av huset.
