Something for the Swedish chef...?

Well, I may not be a Muppet, and I may not be a chef as such, but I do find pinching a stem or two of fresh herbs a precious treat. The parsley above may look a little tired, but taken into consideration that the photo was taken a few days ago and this pot has been outdoors all through the unusually heavy snow experienced by most of the UK this winter, well, I think it is hats off to the parsley!
And basil, sweet, seductively scented basil, I never want a home without it. Even the journey home from the supermarket becomes a sniff-feast, with the whole car filled with the inebriating smell of basil, with promise of Mediterranean meals and sun-stroked tomatoes. Well, a girl can dream, can't she?

To me, an alluring home is a home that speaks to all the senses, and I find fruit, vegetables and herbs as pleasing to the eye as they are to the nose or the tongue. Oh, how I long for spring. I think I will go and bury my nose in the basil pot for a while and dream of summer salads...

Let the green begin!

You have got me again, not only is your home to die for, but my favourite smell is basil, fresh and scruptious.
